Training Details

“Never, ever, ever turn your back on the ball…!”

Heath Hoops Netball Club aims to train every week with a short break over Christmas (although the great British weather occasionally spoils the fun when we’re on the outdoor courts!).

  • When: Thursday evenings

  • Time: 8.00 pm – 9.30 pm during the summer, 8.15 - 9.45pm during the winter

  • Where:

    • Summer: outside on Elvetham Heath Courts (next to the community centre). The Key, Elvetham Heath, Fleet, Hampshire GU51 1HA

    • Winter: indoors at Court Moor School. Spring Woods, Fleet, Hampshire GU52 7RY

Heath Hoops Netball Club runs a system whereby you can come down for up to three taster training sessions (£5 per week). During this time, the coaches will provide feedback on moving forward with membership if they feel you’d fit in with the club’s range of abilities. As we run structured training sessions, some weeks are dedicated to our match units (squads) and working through feedback ready for the next league matches.

Training Schedule:

Every month, the club runs a mixture of training nights:

  • Squad training: teams train on specific areas identified during recent matches (everyone is welcome but the focus is on the two nominated teams).

  • Skills training: the whole club focuses on a specific skill.

  • Versatility training: we play netball matches against each other, swapping positions and teams. It’s really fun and a great way to get to know people in other teams and try out different positions.

During the winter, we rotate the squad training due to court availability.
