Do you play in a netball league?

Yes, we have three teams in the Wavell Invitation Netball League, which runs on a Wednesday night at Wavell School in Farnborough, Hampshire. Hawks, Harriers and Hurricanes play in Divisions 1, 2 and 4.

I haven’t played netball before, should I still come down?

If it’s your first time playing netball, we recommend attending a Back to Netball course before joining us for a couple of taster sessions. Please contact us if you’d like more information on this.

Do you have netball trials?

Yes, if you’re interested in playing in the netball league, you must attend trials that are held each year in May. Don't panic though, we just play fun matches so that our coaches can see where players fit best!

I’d like to join after trials, does this mean I won’t get in a team?

Not necessarily! There’s always a lot of movement throughout the club, so if you join after trials, a space may become available in a team and the coaches will review the squads and new players.

Where do you train?

During the summer, we train on the tennis courts opposite the De Havilland Pub/Morrisons on Elvetham Heath in Fleet. In the winter when the weather is unreliable, we train at the indoor court at Court Moor School in Fleet. Training is always held on a Thursday evening between 8:00 pm and 9:30 pm during the summer, and 8.15pm - 9.45pm during the winter.

When are your matches?

Matches are every other week on a Wednesday night. They take place at either 7.15 pm or 8.30 pm. Summer league matches are every week for seven weeks at the same times during June/July. For more information on fixtures, see the WINL League Fixtures, Results and League Tables
